A Koru Adventure

Ora Adventures’ itineraries are crafted around you. They are reflections of the travel experiences you would like.

‘Ora’ in te reo, the Maori language, can mean ‘wellness’. We call these personalised trips ‘A Koru Adventure’, connecting with the unfurling fern frond - a koru. It symbolises creation and new life, and represents strength and peace.

There is a Maori whakatauki or proverb which says:

“ka puāwai te koru, ka puāwai te tangata”

“ as the koru opens, so too does the person”

This symbolises an Koru Adventure.

Example Trip

Mauri Ora

Life is full. Our energy levels are over-stressed. We experience dis-ease.

Mauri Ora | Healthy Life Force journeys are the fast track to revitalising ourselves, bringing back to balance mind, body and spirit to enable creativity, positivity and healthy relationships. Equally, they are a way to relax that takes a holistic approach to wellness and vitality.

In te reo, the Maori language, ‘mauri’ means 'life-force' - a motivating spark that interacts between ourselves and all living things. ‘Ora’ can mean 'healthy, revived or healed'.

The Trip

This itinerary has been designed to mix the best of what Te Wai Pounamu /South Island New Zealand has to offer. You will ride some classic trails and some which only a local expert will know of.

Where rides are part of longer multi-day trips, we have cherry-picked the best bits.

She’s a full itinerary, based on riders who are keen to ride. There is some down time with a couple of longer travel days.

And every day (apart from the Old Ghost Road) there is the option to not ride at all.
